Monika Fiszer is the author of the Prawa Ręka Szefa blog (“The Right Hand”) and she’s been happily working on secretary or assistant positions for 10 years now. As a right hand, Monika daily gains new experience which she shares on her blog in a form of advice or instructions – e.g. on subjects such as time or work management, business standards, business dress code. They are applicable to women of all jobs!
What is Monika’s philosophy of success, then? Let’s find out!
How did your beginnings look like when you started being the right hand?
During my philological studies I began working in a language school, it was an office job. I spent there three years during which I learned a lot and I got promoted to higher positions. Afterwards, I started looking for a similar job and this was how I landed a position of an executive assistant in a company of a greenhouse building industry. From then on, I’ve been gaining experience in the assistant field and I truly enjoy it.
Do you have any passions apart from your job – or maybe your job is one? How do you take care of your passions?
I love good literature and I spend a lot of my spare time on reading, actually. I also like biking, so – if the weather’s nice – I bike to work. After work I sometimes take the longer route home. I’m fond of hiking – we’ve been enjoying Polish mountains with my husband recently. I like planning and organising small and big trips – and carrying them out later on.
What is your philosophy of success, what’s it about in your opinion?

What would you advise to women so as to encourage them to take care of their self-development?
There are too many pieces of great advice around us – some say, hell’s ground is made of those ;) I think you should listen to your own gut instead of looking for advice.
